Data Protection & Privacy

  • Provided legislative input on the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA), the NITDA Act, and the Omnibus Bill 2.0 for the Business Facilitation Act, aligning client operations with national compliance mandates.
  • Drafted and negotiated a comprehensive range of data protection instruments including Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), Joint Controller Agreements, Data Sharing Agreements, Privacy Policies, Cookie Policies, Retention Policies, and Employee Privacy Notices.
  • Conducted DPIAs, Transfer Impact Assessments (TIAs), Legitimate Interest Assessments (LIAs), and risk assessments for clients across regulated sectors.
  • Led data protection audits and filed compliance reports under the NDPA,,NDPR and NADPAP frameworks, delivering strategic recommendations to enhance client privacy management systems.
  • Guided clients through cross-border personal data transfer matters, advising on legal implications and applicable compliance requirements.
